First Car Built in India: Hindustan 10

The Hindustan 10, also known as the Hindustan Motor or HM 10, was the first car built in India. Manufactured by Hindustan Motors Limited, the Hindustan 10 production began in 1949. It was based on the British Morris Ten and played a significant role in kickstarting the Indian automobile industry.
